Milano Candles ... a Bowlful of Good Scents

This week, Celebrating Home Direct features the wonderfully fragrant, astoundingly robust Milano candle for our Weekly Focus. This rather impressive bowlful of good scents is named after the city of Milan, Italy, originally founded in 600 B.C. by the Gauls. This explains where the familiar phrase, "It takes a lot of Gauls to make a candle this extraordinarily great," originates.

Milano Candle - Stay Awhile Vanilla
Seriously, let's get down to the facts about the Milano candle from Celebrating Home Direct. There's a lot more to this complex candle than you might guess. I did a little sleuthing to get the scoop for you.

First, I found that I could smell the unlit candle from six feet away. That's some fragrance throw! It smelled delightful too! The Baked Apple Pie definitely got me thinking about the upcoming holidays.

Second, I found out that it has three wicks for a reason. With three wicks burning simultaneously, the maximum fragrance throw is achieved. This provides you with the most fragrance possible for your home or office. Light all three for a fast and furious blast of fragrance, or take a more subtle approach and just light one. You get options with this candle.

Third, I found that the bowl the candle comes in is definitely not a throwaway! This is a hefty, stoneware bowl measuring 5.75 inches wide and three inches tall. You can use this sturdy vessel for a long time after the candle has thrown it's last scent and is long gone. The color is neutral, so it can easily slip into rank and file with your decor, no matter the color.

And lastly, I found out that the Milano candle burns up to 36 hours. That means you shouldn't make any immediate plans for your stoneware bowl, because the candle will likely be around for a while making your house smell amazing!

Even though these discoveries were pretty educational, the most thrilling bit of news about the Milano candles is the price! Starting September 21st and going through the 27th, you can get these lovely scented candles for just $6 each! I know what you're thinking. It takes a lot of Gauls to sell high quality candles made in the U.S.A. for so little. You are so right. But we will do almost anything for our customers!
